Route and parking
By car
From Amsterdam or Hoorn follow the N247 towards Volendam. At the roundabout at the Van der Valk Hotel, turn right (from Amsterdam) or left (from Hoorn). After 2 km you reach Volendam.
Follow the signs to the center via the Julianaweg. At the roundabout in the center, turn right into Zeestraat, where the Volendam Museum is located. There are various parking facilities around the center, most of which are free!

Public transport or coach
If you come to the Volendam Museum by public transport, it is best to take bus number 110 or 316 from Amsterdam. These buses stop next to the Volendam Museum.
Exit stop: Zeestraat or Julianaweg/Centrum
Are you coming by coach? Then it is possible, especially for coaches and for the disabled, to let passengers get on and off at the Volendam Museum in the center. This concerns the entry and exit point on the Julianaweg. Parking is not allowed here, the bus will have to be parked in a parking lot.
Parking in Volendam
There are several places in Volendam where you can park your car easily and for free. The center of Volendam has various blue zones where you can only park for a short period of time with a blue card. No blue card? Buy it in the museum shop. On the outskirts of Volendam you will find several parking facilities for longer free parking and there are also a number of covered parking garages near the museum where you can park for a fee.
AMVO-parking lot
You can park opposite the Volendam Museum in the AMVO parking lot.
Please note: this is a blue zone. You can park here for a maximum of 1.5 hours with a blue card.

Immediately upon entering Volendam and adjacent to the new marina you will find the Marinapark parking location, for both coaches and cars.

Further in the village and directly adjacent to the IJsselmeer and the world-famous dike you will find parking location Parallelweg / Haven for cars and coaches.
